Murchison safari 3-4 days in Murchison. Picked up on time by Ananias after a week of NGO work with FLOW Care for Uganda. He was a great driver with a good sense of humour. He struck the right note giving information without over doing it. If any snags came up he ironed them out calmly. Pakuba Lodge was lovely and the game drives surpassed expectations. If travelling with more than 6 people a vehicle with removable roof at the front would have been preferable and I would have preferred to come back the same way on return to reduce travel time. The offer of a change and shower on return was very welcome. I would use Prime again.

Fantastic Safari in Uganda We had a 4 day trip to Murchison Falls which included a chimpanzee trek. It was fantastic. Our driver/guide was Ananias (Mr Pineapple) and he was brilliant. He was thoughtful, accommodating and great company, but most importantly, a very safe driver. He was very skilful at spotting game and we saw lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas, jackals, lots of different types of antelope, monkeys, baboons etc etc as well as many bird species. The chimp trek was the highlight, although the Nile cruise came a close second. We stayed at Pakuba lodge which was cheaper then Paraa, but better value for money. The staff were very helpful, the rooms very clean and comfortable, and the food good.Cate who runs the company with Sam her husband could not have been more helpful.

2 Day 1 Night Safari from Kampala We were able to schedule a 2 day 1 night trip from Kampala. Our guides were Brian and Mr. Pineapple. They were amazing guides, great drivers, and got us the best views of the animals. We left early in the morning and made it to our hotel for lunch. Then we left immediately for a 3 hour Nile River Cruise to Murchison Falls where we saw many animals relaxing along the banks and plenty of hippos lounging in the water. Make sure to bring binoculars. After this, we were taken on a late afternoon safari tour through the national park. We saw giraffes, elephants, warthogs, and many other animals. It was beautiful. We then got back to the hotel where we had dinner. We stayed at the Paara Hotel. The hotel overlooked the Nile river which was gorgeous. The amenities were very nice, food delicious, water hot, and balcony overlooking the Nile. After a restful night, we left early with a packed breakfast for another safari drive. We found a lion pride. It was so beautiful. From there, we stopped at the top of Murchison Falls and viewed the quick strong rapids before the falls. It was nice and refreshing to be misted by the water. After this, we were on our way back to Kampala. We stopped at a nice diner that had delicious whole fried fish and fries and cold beer. Then another 4 hour drive before getting to our hotel for dinner. Prime Safari did a great job of getting all the things we wanted to see based on our schedule. Brian and Mr. Pineapple were amazing guides who taught us so much during the safari. We had such a great experience and highly recommend this company. Hopefully, you will lucky enough to get these guides!! If I were to do it again, I would have liked to enjoy the hotel with a pool that overlooks the Nile and has a swim up bar for an extra day.

Popular Combined Tanzania Tours

Popular Types of Tanzania Tours

While coming for Tanzania safaris, expect to enjoy the following various categories of tours

Tanzania Safari Tours

Tanzania Wildlife Tours

Tanzania wildlife tours are mostly done by undertaking game drives in vast African golden plains, looking out for game animals such as Lions, African Buffalos, Elephants, Leopards, and Cheetahs. Large Zebra herds, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Rhinos, Hippos, Hyenas, and Gazelles are also common.

In some national parks, you can enjoy game viewing tours in Tanzania by undertaking guided game walks, horseback rides, or hot air balloon rides. Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, & Lake Manyara offer the best experience. All the aforementioned parks are found in the northern safari circuit.

Tanzania Beach Tours in Zanzibar

Beach holiday tours in Tanzania specifically take place at Zanzibar Island. Tanzania Zanzibar beach holidays are ideal for travelers on a honeymoon safari or even those on a family safari trip in Tanzania.

Most beaches on Zanzibar along the Indian Ocean coastline hold beautiful white sands dotted with palm trees and turquoise waters, which offer world-class scuba diving opportunities, among other rewarding water sports. Though there are numerous beaches in Zanzibar, Nungwi Beach is commonly visited!

A number of our Tanzania tour packages offer Zanzibar beach holidays in the last days of the trip. During these trips, you will enjoy excellent food both traditional and intercontinental.

Honeymooners shouldn’t miss spending a night at one of the gorgeous resorts at Zanzibar Island.

Tanzania Birding Tours

In the past, this country has been popularly known for world class game viewing tours. However, currently, Tanzania birding tours that start early morning have become famous due to the rich and amazing bird species of this nation.

Roughly 1,200 birds are recorded in Tanzania, including migratory birds, savannah, forest, and woodland birds, mostly spotted on game walks and game drives.

Among the notable bird species in Tanzania to look for are; Double-toothed barbet, Secretary bird, Lilac-breasted Roller, Palmnut Vulture, Flamingos, Pelicans, and Kingfishers, among others. Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Arusha park are the best sites for birding safaris in Tanzania.

Climbing Kilimanjaro Mountain Tours

Most ideal for mountain hiking lovers coming for safaris in Africa! Mount Kilimanjaro hiking tours give you room to explore the roof of Africa. Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Mountain is the highest peak in Africa with over 5,895 m a.s.l.

Note that Mt Kilimanjaro is the largest free-standing mountain on earth as clearly seen via the famous machame route. The hike to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro takes around 5–9 days and it’s not actually hard. The only challenge is dealing with altitude sickness!

To many Mount Kilimanjaro hiking travellers, Machame Route & Rongai Route offer easy access to the summit!

These days, most of our Tanzania safari packages feature cultural tours in Tanzania. Cultural expeditions can include community visits and even cultural encounters with the local people. We intend to allow you to delve into the stimulating African culture as you learn about African cultural practices, beliefs, customs, ceremonies, and economic activities.

The pastoral Maasai people are usually visited on top of game watching safaris in Ngorongoro crater. During the Masai cultural experience similar to those of Kenya, visitors learn about their exciting traditions & customs and enjoy a wonderful traditional dance as well. This visiting to Masai People especially in Ngorogoro Crater and conservation area is the best way to see human habitation in the wild together with wild animals.
