Day 1 of the 3 Days Tanzania wildlife safari tour Mikumi National Park/ 3 Days Tanzania safari tour: Transfer from your hotel or airport to Mikumi National Park

You are met at your Dar es Salaam hotel or airport by your transport service. Drive south to Mikumi National Park passing through the city limits with its modern building tapering off to reveal the rural homesteads ending 4 hours later with the slow speed bumps with signs to watch out for the wildlife that could be crossing between the two sections of the Mikumi park.

After lunch and a little relaxation by the pool, proceed for an afternoon of game viewing in the Mikumi National Park. Mikumi National Park provides an excellent opportunity to view diverse number of animals and birds in short period of time without too much of driving around.

The wildlife viewing experience at Mikumi National Park can be experienced right upon entering the park where guests can encounter baboons, zebras and impalas. Safari guides often state that it is easier to spot a tree-climbing lion in Mikumi National Park than to spot them at Lake Manyara National Park. African Spice guests also have the opportunity to view the unique Mikumi Giraffes that naturalists say seem to be a cross between the reticulated and Masai giraffes. Circumventing around the park trail leads you to the hippo pool, which is best visited during the late afternoons as the distant setting sun and the bobbing hippo heads create perfect pictures. After spotting the wallowing buffalos at the Mkata Flood Plains and elephants congregating near the water hole, return back to the camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

On this day, you will have breakfast early at your hotel of stay in Dar es Salaam as you prepare to be picked by your driver guide. You will meet and greet with your driver guide, have a short briefing about your 3 Days Tanzania safari, then embark on your journey to Mikumi National Park. This journey will take you about 6 hours driving there. You will have lunch in Morogoro town before arriving in Mikumi National Park late in the afternoon. Upon arrival in the park, you will enjoy an evening game drive in Mikumi National Park, having great animals’ sightings in different areas of the park like Mkata plain, Kisungura area and Hippo dams.

In the morning after breakfast, depart you are of stay after breakfast and leave for the full day game drive with a packed lunch. You will do a game drive in the morning and in the afternoon/evening. In the morning after breakfast, drive to the park and do morning game drive in the park that will last about 3 hours and later leave the park experience en route game drive slowly drive so that you can take pictures Drive to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive in the late evening and be dropped off at the hotel or airport with a stopover for lunch in Morogoro town.
