Enjoy your full day Tanzania wildlife safari experience in Mikumi National Park Tanzania even though you have limited time. A visitor planning to visit this park in one day needs to start their journey in Morogoro or Dar es salaam because they are nearer to the park compared to other places. Mikumi National Park is a popular option for weekend visitors from the city, or for visitors who don’t have to spend a long time on long Tanzania safaris.
Positioned between the Uluguru Mountains in the north and the Lumango ranges in the south east, Mikumi National Park is the fourth largest national park in Tanzania covering an area of about 3,230 square kilometers. The park is only a few hours’ drive from Morogoro and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city. There is a good surface road that connects Mikumi to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro. From Dar es Salaam, it roughly takes a drive of about 5hours and about 2 hours from Morogoro.
You will wake up very early in the morning and take breakfast at your hotel so you are ready by 5am. Our safari driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam to start your one day wildlife safari journey to Mikumi National Park.
