Your fantastic 14 days Tanzania safari tour begins today at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You’ll be picked up by our Prime Safari representative who will, after a quick meet-and-greet, load your bags into our comfortable vehicle. He will then transfer you to your hotel in Arusha, where you’ll settle into a very comfortable room for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Depending on the cloud cover, you may be able to spot the distant peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak at 5895m. Day 2: Game Drive in Arusha NP & Arusha City Walking Tour.
After breakfast, embark on a drive of about 40 minutes to Arusha National Park for a morning game drive. It is a beautiful quiet park of 137km2, featuring a variety of landscapes, including Mount Meru (4566m) – Africa’s fifth tallest peak, ancient fig forest, open savannas, streams, waterfalls, alkaline lakes, and volcanic craters, all with a backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day.
Arusha NP also has a diversity of wildlife, including Giraffes, Buffalos, Warthogs, Zebras, and several species of antelopes. The park’s forest is home to the beautiful Black-and-white colobus monkeys and there are over 400 bird species including flamingos. After a game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, take a walking tour of Arusha city to learn about real African life in Tanzania. You can visit colorful Maasai Markets and the vibrant Arusha Central market as well as the Cultural Heritage Centre which are ideal for souvenir shopping. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Tarangire National Park for A Game Drive
Your day three of the 14 days Tanzania safari tour will begin with a delicious breakfast at a hotel in Arusha. At around 8.00 am, you’ll set off on a beautiful drive of about two and a half hours southwest of Tarangire National Park. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at your camp or lodge. Spend some time relaxing after lunch before embarking on an exciting game drive in Tarangire.
Spanning some 280,500 hectares Tarangire is a place of giant baobabs, shimmering swamps, fever tree forests, sweeping vistas, and where Tanzania’s biggest herds of elephants roam. It is a lovely quiet park that offers a serene and intimate wildlife experience, as many travelers skip it in favor of Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
However, with a sizable population of Elephants, Buffalos, Wildebeests, Zebras, Giraffes, and numerous Antelope species that congregate near Tarangire River, especially during the dry season, its concentration of big game is not far behind that of Serengeti or Ngorongoro. Elephants can congregate in herds of up to 300 animals, and the abundance of prey draws numerous predators, primarily lions.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. Cultural Tour in Mto Wa Mbu Village Enroute & Afternoon Game Drive on Arrival.
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and set off, this time you are heading north towards Lake Manyara National Park – an area described by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. This will be a drive of about two hours.
En route, tour Mto Wa Mbu, a pleasant small village, a fascinating snapshot of small-town African life, and home to some 18,000 people from 120 different Tanzania tribes! Visit the village’s banana plantation, a bustling local market, and a youth art project, where you can watch skilled members of the Makonde tribe carefully carving intricate figurines, masks, and household objects.
Afterward, proceed to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive around Lake Manyara.
Situated on the floor of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara is a scenic little park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, and large baboon troops. The park is also home to an amazing variety of birds including thousands of flamingos.

The park boasts over 670 flowering plant species. Still, the park has the highest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world!

Day 8: Transfer to Serengeti National Park for A Game Drive.
You’ll have an early breakfast on day eight of your 14 days Tanzania safari tour, as you’ve got a big day of exploration and adventure ahead of you!
You’ll begin with the scenic drive towards the Serengeti. En route pass through the cool crater highlands and great Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving Ngorongoro, pass rural Maasai villages before descending into the endless plains of Serengeti – a world-renown, World Biosphere Reserve, and World Heritage Site.
Nearly 15,000km2 in size, the Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest national park and one of the world’s most exciting wildlife game parks. The park is famous for the yearly Great Migration of over 1.5 million white-bearded wildebeests, 250,000 Zebras, and 500,000 gazelles. It is the largest overland mammal migration on earth and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.

Spend the entire day in Central Serengeti today.
After an early breakfast, go on a morning game drive. You’ll return to camp for lunch and some rest during the hottest hours of the day. After that, enjoy a refreshing drink before going on another game drive to observe more animals.
Central Serengeti comprises the fabulous Seronera Valley, renowned for its prime big game and other wildlife. In this area, you’re almost guaranteed several sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas during a day along with a multitude of smaller predators such as mongoose, Servals, foxes, and jackals.
From May to June, Seronera plays host to the greatest wildlife show on earth as over a million animals pour through the valley in a thunder of echoing hooves and a haze of red dust. On day eight of your 14 days Tanzania safari tour, you have another full day to enjoy more of what Seronera Valley has to offer. After breakfast, you go on a morning game drive after which you return for a few hours of relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon you go out again for a game drive.
The scenic landscape of this pristine valley is characterized by endless stretches of rolling savannah plains, scattered with acacia woodlands, and covered in a network of rivers and streams. The dark silhouettes of umbrella-shaped acacia trees rise above the plains and colossal mounds of granite kopjes loom in the distance, forming a classic image of quintessential Africa.
Serengeti also has over 530 bird species, including rare Fischer’s Lovebird, Secretary bird, Grey-crested Helmetshrike, Red-fronted Parrot, Southern Ground Hornbill, and Rüppell’s Vulture. Day 11: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater via Olduvai Gorge.
After a relaxed breakfast today, check out of the lodge and say your goodbyes to the wonderful staff at your camp/lodge. Then, enjoy a game drive as you leave the Serengeti plains. You are heading east towards the Ngorongoro Crater – another UNESCO World Heritage Site.
En route, make a stop at Olduvai Gorge Museum, the Cradle of Mankind, and one of the most significant prehistoric sites in the world. The museum is situated near the site where Drs. Louis and Mary Leaky excavated remains of the earliest humans (hominin fossils), dating back almost 2 million years. These fossils have proven vital in furthering the understanding of our evolution as a species.
