Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater

Early in the morning after your morning breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will meet our Tanzania safari guide who will deliver a short safari briefing, after which, you will travel in our comfortable 4×4 safari Landcruiser/4×4 safari Van to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation area in about 4 hours driving a distance of about 193km. Upon arrival in the park, you will check in drive towards a lodge for lunch and after do a game drive. Supported by an all year-round water supply and vegetation, the Ngorongoro Crater has supported the stay of quite a big number of animals, while here expect to see herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. This attractive national park, also hosts a big population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the leopard that you will see during your game drive of about 2-3 hours. Retire from the game drive and after visit Lake Magadi, one of the main features of the Ngorongoro crater; it is a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

Day 2: Transfer from Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park and return to Arusha

After an early morning breakfast, you and your driver guide will transfer to Lake Manyara National Park with packed picnic lunch in hand, for your morning game drive in the park. Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most fascinating wildlife areas to visit on a Tanzania safari. The park is located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.

Here expect to see game such as buffaloes, big concentrations of elephants including the famous tree climbing lions. Break off for refreshment and lunch at the picnic site. After lunch drive southwards, here you will be greeted by bubbling hot springs and a herd of hippos. Also expect to see a variety of birds including pelicans, cormorants and thousands of flamingos.
