Day 1 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Arrive in Uganda – Entebbe International Airport & transfer to the Hotel

The first port of entry is Entebbe International Airport on the shores of Lake Victoria – Africa’s largest lake where you will be welcomed by our representative before transferring to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Transfer to Kibale National Park & relax. Optional visit to the Amabere g’Nyinamwiru caves & hike to the Fort Portal Crater lake field

After breakfast at your place of stay in Entebe, transfer to Fort Portal area 300km about 6 hours’ drive exploring the scenic views of en route landscapes including Mubende inselbergs. Hot lunch will be served in Fort Portal town after which can proceed to the lodge in Kibale Area or choose to visit the Amabere g’ Nyinamwiru caves and hike the Fort Portal crater lake field – an activity which lasts about 2 hours.  The Amabere caves have breast-like features which the locals believe that they are breasts of Nnyinamwiru – a daughter of Bukuku a self-enthroned King of the Bachwezi who denied his daughter a chance to breast feed her son in fear that her son would over throw him.  The hike to the Fort Portal crater field offers incredible views of various crater hollows and lakes that mark this explosion crater which is one of the four of its kind existing in Uganda. The views of Rwenzori Mountains can be viewed at a distance.

Day 3 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Do Chimpanzee Habituation, end at 4pm & transfer to Queen Elizabeth Np. Sightseeing of the Rwenzori Mountains en route

Embark on exciting Chimpanzee Habituation experience which starts at 6am from the Kanyanchu Tourism center.  It’s a whole day activity spending great time with Chimpanzees from the time they depart their nests to the time they form new nests in the evening at 7pm. Enjoy them as they forage, socialize, mate, make pant hooting calls, hunt, patrol among other activities.  Being a whole day in the forest, you also have great sights of lush flora and a range of impressive bird species. You retreat from the activity at about 4pm and embark on the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 157km from Kibale about 3 hours’ drive. The drive will also expose you to the scenic Mountains of the moon – the Rwenzoris towering up to 5,109m high with snowcapped peaks before approaching the rolling savannah plain of Queen Elizabeth & eventually at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Do Morning game drive in Savannah stretches of Kasenyi sector, afternoon Kazinga Channel launch cruise & evening game drive along the channel track

Settle for breakfast at 6:30am and transfer to the park to start at the game drive at 7am. The savannah plains of Kasenyi sector offers incredible chances of viewing a range of wild game including four of the Big five namely; Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions & Buffaloes, other wild game such as Defassa waterbucks, spotted hyena, Topis among others. The game drive lasts 3 – 4 hours.  Drive to Mweya peninsular for hot lunch at Tembo restaurant before gathering at Mweya jetty for an afternoon Kazinga Channel boat ride departing at 2pm. The majestic Kazinga Channel boat cruise lasts for 2 hours offering good recreational moments, likely views of Nile crocodiles, Hippos, bird species on the shores and wild game drinking on the shores. From the boat, you do an evening game drive along the channel track for more wild game viewing possibilities.

Day 5 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Optional en route game drive in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree climbing lions

After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park 309km about 10 hours’ drive. You undertake a 1.5 – 2-hour game drive in Ishasha sector in the south of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree climbing lions and other wild game. The Ishasha is one of the only two places in the world where tree climbing lions can be encountered. They tend to lie in fig tree branches in the day time. Continue on the drive to arrive in Bwindi in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 6 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Do Mountain Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening relaxation and overnight

Gorillas in the mist moment awaits you this morning as you approach the mist covered Impenetrable forest of Bwindi for briefing at 8am.  Depending on the region and the respective gorilla family allocated, you follow the respective trail (some trails involve some bit of driving while others start from the briefing point) with company of the armed park ranger and other guests if they are there. The trek through the forest is a magical one as you hike steep slopes, descend down narrow valleys and traverse the dense vegetation of Bwindi amidst lush flora and enchanting bird songs. You eventually come across these gentle giants in their natural habitat as they feed on their preferred plant material, socialize and the young ones playing in the tree branches and with fellow members. The Silverback can choose to offer you a courteous welcome or ignore you and proceed with its feeding. You spend great time with these critically endangered Apes and take million-dollar photoshoots. The duration of the trek is 2 – 8 hours depending their movement though the actual gorilla viewing time is limited to one (1) for purposes of conservation. After your one hour with the gorillas, return to the starting point and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, enjoying the incredible views of Kigezi Highlands dubbed the Switzerland of Africa and spend the evening relaxing at the lake with a boat ride. Settle for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 7 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Sunrise boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi & transfer to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park

Undertake a recreational boat cruise after a relaxed breakfast to explore the lake of a thousand Islands. You cruise amidst the scenic Kigezi Highlands and the views of a range of Islands that are within the lake. Lake Bunyonyi has 29 Islands. You retreat from 2-hour activity and retreat to the lodge for lunch after which you embark on the transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda 120km about 3 – 4 hours driving along magical views of the Virunga Volcanoes before arriving at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 8 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Do Golden Monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park & transfer to Kigali Rwanda

Gather at the park headquarters Kinigi for briefing at 8am before heading to the forest in search of the critically endangered golden monkeys. The golden monkeys tend to thrive in the Bamboo zone of the Volcanoes and have got a golden patch on their back which makes them impressive to look at. The golden monkey tracking tend to last about 4 hours inclusive of one (1) hour of direct encounter with them. After this activity, embark on the transfer to Kigali 116km about 2 – 3 hours drive enjoying the views of the Rwandan hill sides that have earned her a dub as Land of a thousand Islands.

connect to Kigali International Park for the flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport Tanzania.  You are welcomed by our representative to transfer to Arusha 55km about 1hr for relaxation and overnight

Day 10 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Transfer to Tarangire National Park & do game drive

After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and you will enjoy the 2hrs leisure drive south-westwards to Tarangire NP 120km about 2hours drive.

The Tarangire National Park has the highest concentration of elephants in North – Tanzania and you can view these animals all year round where elephant herd populations can reach as many as 3,000. The Tarangire River has water all year around. During the dry season (July-October), many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river to drink. If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you observe exotic big mammals such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras and various types of antelopes such as gazelles. During the dry season, Tarangire is a haven for bird watchers with over 550 different species including the Maasai Ostrich-the world’s largest bird. Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place. The afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching.

Day 11 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Transfer to Serengeti National Park & do game drive

After breakfast, we proceed to the Serengeti endless plains by way of the lush Ngorongoro Crater Highlands 255km about 5hours drive.

The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai word siringitu, means “endless plains”. You will see why once you see its ocean of grassland savannas stretching to the horizon as far as your eye can see. However certain parts also are covered in the Acacia savanna, dense wooded hills or rocky outcrops known as kopjes, as well as pans and lakes. The abundance of African wildlife is of course what makes it such a sought after safari destination, and includes healthy populations of lion, buffalo, impala, hippo, waterbuck, elephant, cheetah, leopard and a host of other game species – not mention the more than 400 species of birds.

We will arrive in Serengeti for afternoon game drive searching for wildlife. Later in the evening we will drive further to the camp for evening leisure and hot dinner.

Day 12 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Extensive Game drive in Central Serengeti National Park – Unlimited Game drive

The entire day is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti. Predators include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees) and cheetahs are seeing in this great park. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return up central heading west. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year.

After a full day wandering through the Serengeti central plains, you will head back to you camp for evening leisure and hot dinner.

Day 13 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Final game drive in Serengeti National Park & transfer to Ngorongoro Crater rim 145km about 3.5hours drive

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch for final game drive in Serengeti. After lunch, we will drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you have reached the edge of the crater rim, the crater appears half a mile below you inviting you to gaze at this jaw dropping natural wonder. When you reach its edge and view its 100 square mile expanse, it is a sight to behold.

We will be getting out of the safari jeep to enjoy the view while having a walking safari along the crater rim for an hour. Afterwards, you will proceed to Karatu for dinner.

Day 14 of the 14 Days Uganda Rwanda Tanzania Safari Holiday: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater & transfer to Arusha in the evening

After breakfast, we drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into it for a half-day of game viewing. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcano caldera formed three million years ago and is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world and one of Africa’s most remarkable geological sites. The Big Five (rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard) and most of the animal species found in the Serengeti, including zebra, hippos, wildebeest, and cheetahs, can be viewed close up. The Ngorongoro Crater ecosystem maintains the historic balance between people and nature in a way that is not possible in other parks.

Depending on your flight departure time, you will ascend and proceed to JRO for your flight back home. Distance from the crater to exit gate is 45km about 1hr and from the Exit gate to Kilimanjaro Airport is 235km about 3.5hours
